2026 Centenary Calendar

We are delighted to present our 2026 Centenary Calendar!

When Lady Dorothy Haig opened Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory in Edinburgh in 1926, it began with just two workers and a pair of scissors. For nearly 100 years, Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory has brought the iconic Scottish poppy to the people of Scotland.

The calendar was designed as part of Poppyscotland’s annual learning competition which aims to engage young people with our charity. To celebrate the upcoming centenary of the poppy in Scotland, Scottish pupils from P4 – S3 submitted their artwork which now form the final pages of our fantastic calendar. The calendar features unique and beautiful illustrations that capture the momentous occasion of marking 100 years of the poppy in Scotland.

Centenary Calendar Competition

After receiving over 400 fantastic entries from across the country, it was a tough call to narrow down the 2024 annual learning competition this year. The competition invited pupils to create a piece of artwork for a special edition Centenary Calendar which celebrates 100 years of the Poppy in Scotland.
