Scotland’s Salute to D-Day Anniversary Concert
Legion Scotland and Poppyscotland are thrilled to announce a special concert at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh on Thursday, June 6th, 2024. The event will serve as Scotland’s national commemorative tribute, marking the historic events that occurred 80 years ago to the day.
The evening will offer a unique blend of music and storytelling, drawing from eyewitness accounts. From the preparations for D-Day to Operation Overlord, the concert will guide the audience through Scotland's crucial role in the Allied landing, concluding with a moment of Remembrance.
Leading us through the evening will be the distinguished voice of Alasdair Hutton OBE TD, former voice of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Providing the music will be the world-renowned band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines Band, Scotland, featuring their impressive Corps of Drums, along with the Lowland and Highland Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, Military Wives Choir, and special guests.
Tickets for this commemorative event are now available for purchase through the Usher Hall booking office, priced at £18.70.
